Okay I know b.p.'s don't do higher math but geesh!

Somedays I swear if Baby a person she'd be blonde! (no offense intended to the ladies of this forum of the blonde persuasion)

Baby has these lovely new rubber dog bowl hides. Uses them regularily too. Well tonight after she fed she decided for whatever snakey reason to not use the nice entranceway but to dig her nose down in her substrate, hoist up the side of her hide of choice and hump her mouse filled body inch by inch into her hide. Talk about doing things the hard way LOL.

I just stood there watching her thinking...ya know Baby girl the entrance is just a tad to the left...silly snake!

Oh btw she did it again. I swear she keys into the hemostats. As soon as Mike opened the tub with the mouse on the hemostats, she reared up like a flippin cobra aiming directly up at the hemostats then sort of arched back and slightly downward to where the mouse was actually hanging. Nailed the mice mid-air again before Mike had a second to get it to the floor of her tub! Mike had to hop to it and let go of that mouse FAST! I'm thinking it's time for the longer hemostats.

well you know, even if she does the hide thing a little backwards i'd say she makes up for it in the feeding response department.

Congrats on the great feeding responses! Now about her 'specialness', maybe she was just ..... hmmmm ..... special. Maybe she just likes to give herself a workout?

Do you think she rode the little short yellow bus to school? LOL

Last night when Kashmire was feeding, I swear it looked like he was thinking through the process. He tried to feed on the mouse sideways, then let go, took his invisible hand and scratched his head going "hmmm.....ok, let me figure this out, where exactly is the head?" started for the back end, realized it wasn't right, let go, scratched his head again and went "OHHHHHHH, I get it now, it's the OTHER end!" and went to town.

I'm POSITIVE that I have an exceptionally bright snake that has wonderful thought processes, I don't care what any of the rest of you say!

Oh yeah, and MY snake has emotions and LOVES me! Experts be darned!!!!

Re: Okay I know b.p.'s don't do higher math but geesh!

    LOL you ladies slay me!

Robin ours do that sometimes and it just astounds me how they manouver their mouse around to the "proper" position. We've seen mice dragged by the tail and once Punky actually grabbed hers and flipped it hard so it landed correctly.

Yep I won't ever complain about feeding responses with these two. Baby's always been aggressive on her food, but Punky lately is giving her a definite run for the money. Baby doesn't tend to show her aggressive nature until the mouse on the hemostats is actually there. Punky will hang around the front of her tub on feeding day, definitely not using her hides as much and stare intently out the tub hoping her food will appear soon LOL. I actually don't handle Punky on feeding day much as she seems to be in a hyper-alert mood that day.

And of course, if there's any question that I'm even half way serious, I know that they don't have emotions, but I like my fantasy world! LOL I just get a little loopy at....what time was it I was posting that?

well snakes aren't the smartest some say. I just say they are so smart that they decide to confuse us and hide their smartness from us.

I wish my BP would love me
