    Re: I made a terrarium..!

Sounds like fun! Can't wait to see pictures. It doesn't matter where we go, my children are always picking up rocks, leaves, sticks, and whatever else they can get their hands on. I never thought about putting all that stuff in an aquarium. What made you decide to do it? It's a great idea.

    Re: I made a terrarium..!

Here are a few pics! I was just walking in the woods and I thought, I am going to MISS being able to do this, when there are four feet of snow on the ground! Then I thought, maybe there's a way I can bring the woods indoors, and I had a spare 10g tank, so I thought what the hay?
I wish the pics came out better. The moss is about 2 inches deep and rooted into some forest bedding type stuff. The fern is doing well; I thought it might die, but it is fine a few days later (now.) I spray in there with water once a day or so, and keep a glass lid on half of it to keep in humidity.
I am thinking of adding something animate (maybe a dart frog or two?) The stones in the middle are actually in a small water bowl that I recessed into the dirt and covered with bark/rocks on the sides.

Nice Gin, that would be perfect for a dart frog.

That's really nice Gin. I don't know anything about the care of frogs but that sure looks like a nice hangout for something.

    Re: I made a terrarium..!

Yea, trouble with making this terr. is, now I want something to put into it! My horned frog is out of the question, since he digs everything up in his tank and would just ruin this one. If my friend gets some Darts in her store, I will get a few.
