Yep, I already have a Diamond x Jungle male '04 so they should make nice pair in the future.

We are trying to figure out what our next snake will be. This HI is beautiful. Can you answer a few questions about him? What is his length & weight? How often are you feeding him? Also, just curious as to why you're selling so many from your collection. You may have said in some other forum but I don't read the site as often as hubby does.

We might be interested in this guy, at least in seeing/handling him. We live in Indy, but could easily make a trip to Louisville if he is still available.

    Thanks in advance,
    Amy

    Re: Snakes For Sale!

Hello Amy. I will be attending the Indianapolis Show this month on the 28th, so I could deliver the HI Boa to you if you decide you'd like to purchase him.

He is around 4 feet in length and weighs well over 1500 grams (I haven't got an exact weight on him yet, but I can do so). He is eating frozen/thawed rats every 7-10 days. I am just downsizing my snake collection to focus more on my invertebrates. Any other questions just let me know. I took some pics of him last night in his "fired up" state and the difference from his day coloration is quite amazing. I'll post them later.

    Re: Snakes For Sale!

Thanks for the info. We were already planning on attending the show on the 28th. I can't say that I would ever buy a snake without looking at it/handling it first. If you could bring him along so we can get to know him, that would be wonderful! None of our snakes are full adults yet, so handling an adult snake will help us decide. I can't guarantee that we'll buy him, but he is certainly worth checking into.

Btw, what size enclosure do you currently have him in? Our four oldest have moved into various sized Vision cages.

We've been discussing what type of snake we wanted to get, waffling between rats, bulls, corns & garters. The picture of your boy piqued my interest, because he fits my parameters of basic things I have to have/not have in a snake and he is a bit out of the ordinary.

    Re: Snakes For Sale!

No problem....if I still have him, I was planning on bringing him to the show to try to sell anyway. I am keeping him in my largest rack system (41 quart sterilite tub). Here are a couple pics I took of him in his "fired up" state, you can see quite a difference from his daytime coloration:

    Re: Snakes For Sale!

Don't hesitate to sell him if you get an offer before we look at him, considering we're not sure whether he is a good fit for us yet. At the very least, it will be nice to meet you at the show. Do you know where you'll be set up in the room?

Lol, gotcha. Well, I'm sure you won't be hard to miss :-) So if some random couple comes up to you, don't be surprised. See you there.
