    Is it really Monday already?

Well, we got the 2nd bronco home that we had to tow. After looking at the sticker inside the door of the one towed here, we found out that the tow capacity is something like 2100 lbs give or take a few, and itself it weighs 4100 something, my 88 got a real work out, it should have not been given then, but it suffered no ill effects, we figure it towed around 6000 lbs or so b/c the broncos weight plus the brakes were pretty much locked up on it. Started working on parting it to fix mine. And in a matter of about a day and a half (starting late Sat. afternoon), we have managed to get most of the cosmetic parts off the 86 and onto my 88. Sat. we got a slow start, because I noticed coolant all over the front passenger side of my 88, at that point I knew it was the heater core, and had to stop all other progress in favor of changing that out too, good thing is, I already had the part. The heater core was the easiest part to get off the other and onto mine out of all the stuff we did strip. All we got left is the running boards and the beefy truck mirrors to pull off the 86 to put onto mine... hehe, cant wait to get the truck mirrors onto mine, I think for such a big vehicle (yeah not as big as the original bronco, but still pretty good size) it should have had the truck mirrors, makes seeing around ya a bit easier, and besides, others I have seen have those mirrors..just not mine. Plus we got to do the front quarter panel switch, as mine is pretty much messed up and would mean alot more fiber glassing to be done to rebuild it. I like the grill we took off the other one, looks pretty nice on mine. LOL After we are all done, there is minor fiber glassing to be done, sanding, etc... then we are gonna primer it to get it through winter... once taxes come in, we will have her painted. She will them be fully restored cosmetically and mechanically. I am so excited and cant wait~ she will be the nicest bronco ll in the area that we have seen.

But man, is it really Monday? The weekend went fast, my body is sore and tired..and I still got more work to do on mine, plus start cutting up the other bronco to haul to scrap. Why are we cutting up the other one? B/c it is worth more cut up as scrap rather than only getting about $50 average out here for scrap/messed up vehicles.. this way you get the weight value of all the metals in it.. and thats quite alot! The guy I sold my crushed by the tree in January on my 31st b-day (some of you may remember the post and pics) dodge dakota to ended up scrapping it after cutting it up (had no idea it was worth so much at the time like that, and I only got $100 out of it whole, so I learned from that) ended up with something like $700 in scrap out of it. Made a $600 profit. I figure the weight of the bronco is alot more, so I should make a nice profit on this.

Glad you are getting the bronco business worked out. Sounds like you had a busy weekend. It was just the 'calm before the storm' for me

Thanks! That is not even half of the stuff going on right now It is all for the better, so it is kinda hard to get stressed out over all the stuff to do. I just wish everything would have been a little more spread out

Yay Bronco! I'm so jealous of your easy heater core swap... I have an '85 and an '88 Mark VII and was kind of hoping to put the '85 back on the road as a winter beater because the '88 is in such good shape... but the '85 is in baaad need of a heater core. Unfortunately, they're really complicated to replace on these cars (stinkin' Lincolns!) Oh well, I guess I'll see what fall brings.

I'm so excited for your Bronco What color are ya gonna paint it?

Oh and Daniel, congrats! On everything! Sounds like you're gonna be busy
