    music

I was just curious about what types of music you guys(neutral gender) are into. I'll start it off. Some of my favorite bands are Slipknot, Mudvayne, Mushroomhead, Buckethead, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, and ICP. I can only listen to about 20-40 minutes of ICP because it's not so much rap as it is talking and other stuff. I don't like rap, but I still have a lot of respect towards rap and rappers because there is no way I could even think as fast as some of them sing. If you guys out there like fast stuff, you may want to try listening to Mudvayne. They are heavy metal, but they can also get singing as fast as some rappers. Thanks for the responses!

    Re: music

I like alot of different music. Here are a few rock bands that I am always listening to: Pantera, White Zombie, Korn, Disturbed, and Kid Rock. I like older rock bands like Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, and Bob Seger. I like country music too(mostly the older stuff)....Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr., Merl Haggard, and Johnny Cash. I really dont care to listen to pop music or punk rock.....I just don't like the sound

    Re: music

Well probably country is my favorite.....Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich to name a few of the "newer" ones....oldies like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn as well...can't beat Willie Nelson!

As far as other music, with teens in the house I listen to a lot of different stuff but rarely know the actual artist other than Kid Rock who was just up here and I missed him darn it all!

Let's see what else....Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bob Seger, any comedy album by George Carlin (had to toss that one in), Sarah McLachlan. Probably my most favorite artist is Melissa Etheridge. Did anyone catch her performance on I think it was the Grammy's doing a duet with Joss Stone (tribute to Janis Joplin)? It was truely amazing. If you haven't heard Joss Stone sing....wow...18 years old and a set of pipes you simply cannot believe!

    Re: music

Oh Yeah! A question I can relate to!

Hmm.. Let's start off with anything progressive rock/metal.
My absolute favorite is RUSH. Second would be Dream Theater.
Being an avid (psychotic) drummer, it's required that I idolize Neil Peart of RUSH.
I really enjoy fusion and jazz. Gotta love what Triiumvirat was putting out.

I'll listen to just about anything. Classical (Beethoven, Mozart, etc) is a favorite when I need to relax. The newest that I'm liking is Mudvayne and Slipknot.
There's a local radio station that plays alternative and the newer rock/metal.
I can listen to that constantly.

    Re: music

Slayer (I love them; finally saw them live last year and it made me know the meaning of "metal!!") I was the only female singing (or yelling, lol) along to all the songs!
Type O Negative has to be my favorite band though. Although, I am listening to alot of different stuff these days; Garbage is an awesome freaking band. So is STP. I even like The Smiths and weird 80s stuff like the Pet Shop Boys. And I LOVE nine inch nails. Their new album just makes me happier becuz they are still on top of their game and I don't feel old when I say I like them! hehe.
I like some country too, oddly. I kind of dislike how "sanitized" alot of music is though, esp. Top 40 stuff. I really love old Beatles, etc. where you can hear the flaws in the tape; the fingers on the guitars, etc.
Oh I also LOVE The Cure!

I was completely blown away seeing him drum! Drummers are often just in the background, but I really think he is some kind of genetically altered, perfect genius of a drummer!
