I know I'm relatively new here, but I'm sure many of you know that I have probably been more stressed than Kashmire about the fact that he would not eat.
Adam rocks! He suggested putting a live hopper in with him at dusk and fill the tank with crumbled newspaper and walk away.
I got home about 10 this evening, with hopper and Kashmire was doing his nightly prowling. I dropped hopper in, and Kashmire seemed intersted. Crumbled up about 10 balls of newspaper and put them in there. Hopper was last seen in the front corner of the enclosure, and Kash was under paper in the back corner on the same side.
When I walked by to refill my soda, noticed him readjusting his jaw (but he's done that before) and was hopeful, but not sure.
About 30 minutes later, saw Kashmire was in his warm side hide, so I took out the paper to see if hopper was just out of sight. Most definitely out of sight...in Kashmire's belly.
Although I can't see a bulge, there is no hopper in the enclosure and I checked the paper to see if it had burrowed into newspaper. Nope, he's GONE! Which means Kash fed!
I'm sorry I didn't get to see him feed, but there will be time for that in our many years together!
I'm just thrilled my reluctant to feed snake has FED!!!!
Thanks again Adam!!!!
