Best thing we ever "invested" in was a soldering wand thingy from Wal-Mart. Not the more expensive gun deal but just this nice little soldering wand. Came with 3 different size tips and was all of $9.00 I think. It puts holes through plastic bins wonderfully fast but does cause fumes so use in a well ventilated area.
