Yep he is probably ready to eat. I usually wait to my usual feeding day (Monday) and feed after the shed. But if you want to feed now, go for it . Were you just measureing the shed to measure it or were you trying to use it to measure the length of your bp? if you were going to use that measurement as your bps length, it might not be too accurate because bp skins tend to get streched when they shed....so a few inches might have got added.
