Re: Ouch!
I forgot to mention I have a high tolerance for children's programming. I've made it through Barney, Wiggles and any numerous shows, but this was just painful!!!! This is a warning to all of you with children!!! Beware!

Re: Ouch!
Thanks for the heads up. I think I will use the D.V.D. angle as well, therefore, allowing them to see it whenever they want, in another room... I take it this one was worse than the spy-kids movies. Dang, what we do for our offspring..

Re: Ouch!
Thanks for the head's up.....one of those dvd's that may just get "lost" in the house if it starts to make my head hurt and my ears bleed.
Personally Mike and I loved the Shrek movies....lots of fun for the 4 year old but enough adult humour so his dad and I didn't doze off. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy did such a good job on those movies!
Our 4 year old's current thing is to walk around the house saying in a hilariously deep voice...I am your father Luke.....very very funny since coincidentally his older brother (age 13) is named....Luke!

Re: Ouch!
Oh Man, I remember those times. I dont envy you Moms out there who have little kids that are interested in these cheesy mindless shows they make for our kids to watch. My kids were the Barney stage... it got so bad that by the time my daughter was 7- she hated Barney voluntarily (meanwhile, my youngest still watched it), she got this 2 foot Barney doll, from her Grandmother for X-Mas, and she waited till the next day and tied it to the back of my little tiny chevette I was driving at the time, and seeing as though we lived in a tiny town, we dragged Barney behind my car around town for about a week before his neck and head separated and he flew off the back of my car. But what made it even funnier, I had a 6 foot whip antenna for my cb sitting directly on top of my car, it looked like a remote control Barney murdering machine. I think all these kids shows are nothing but a plot, to lower our kids IQ's along with ours~
::evil::
My kids are 12 and almost 14, so they no longer get into stuff like that.. but on the up side, they do go to the movies ALOT without me... gives me time at home alone to do what I need/want to do.

Re: Ouch!
omg Jeanne I laffed out loud so hard that my husband wondered what I was reading LOL. That's too freakin funny!!!!
We had a Barney doll that talked when you squeezed him...he got some sort of short and would suddenly talk without warning...scared the crap outta me more than once....up on the top bunk making the older girl's bed when this crazy purple critter starts in with "you want to be my friend" coming from my younger girl's bottom bunk...one day my younger one threw it down the stairs. I took this for a sign Barney had now creeped us all out sufficiently enough LOL.
Mine are currently 17, 13, 11 and 4....I can't win when it comes to movies and by 2006 the three oldest will all be teenagers so I'm just saving up for that really REALLY big bottle of Valium. On the upside, by the time the youngest hits puberty I'll likely be working on a good case of senility so I'm thinkin his teen years should be a blast! LOL
