Except for when I'm in a pinch for space (which seems like all the time) ... I only like to use 2 sizes of tubs.

Your best bet is to use a long narrow tub (like 22x9) or something along those lines for hatchlings and let them grow in there up to about 600 grams. Then move them up to a larger tub. I use CB-70's for adults which are like 33x17 or something like that.

In my experience, the mid size tubs are really a waste of time and space because you're only going to get a couple of hundred grams out of them and that can be as quick as 3 or 4 months.

Also, moving tubs can sometimes cause a short fast so when you're raising up babies, you want to move them as little as possible. 1 tub change is much better than 2.

And remember … low ceilings … 5 – 6 inches is plenty of height!!!
