Sadly I don't know much of their history, beyond some abuse reports given by some former employees of the museum. But I can assume they were not handled properly, if at all.
I really have a special respect for the yellows. I find them to be a great species to work with.
A hint of advice if I may, get a good filter....lol I have burnt through way too many canaster filters with these two. I can't stand it. And you just don't want to smell the smell of unfiltered conda water.
