    Smile incomplete shed

My BP shed today, but I have noticed that she didn't shed about 2.5 inches of her tail. Is this a problem or do I not worry? I would also like to say that this site is great and I feel at home here! Thanks

    Re: incomplete shed

The tail is actually an important part of the skin to shed. If it doesn't work itself off in the next day or two, soak him/her in an inch or two of tepid water inside a small rubbermaid container for about 60 - 90 minutes a night until it slides off.

It's best if you can use a container that fits inside your ball pythons cage on the warm end so that you snake does not get too cool while soaking.
