Rebel my bigger bp finally ate last night.
I was cleaning out all my rodent cages and i decided that i didnt need the trouble of two more mice that werent being used for anything anymore so i whacked two mice and put them in her cage, once again she didnt seem the least bit interested. It didnt matter how much or how long i dangled it in front of her she just wasnt havin it.
So i got mad, lifted up her hide, threw the mice in there with her and went out to dinner with some friends, about 4 hours later i come home expecting two smelly rigimortised mice to be in the cage with her ( i forgot to take them out before i left) but they were gone !!
I doubt they really satisfied her 3 foot very thick body but at least it was something.
Im switching back to pre killed, sometimes F/T can be a hassle so im just going to buy like ten mice and keep them until feeding time then ill whack and feed them to her . She does not seem interested in rats at all lately but next time im going to try it with a scented rat. Rebel has been fed mice from the time she was just a small hatchling and i just got her several months ago, she is very used to eating mice.( i got her from a reptile rescue)
I just thought i would share this with you guys for any people trying to get thier picky snakes to eat, just try putting it in the hide with them and leaving them alone for a couple hours. Worked for me![]()
