Re: Male Jungle Ball Python for sale...

Hey guys, I hope there is interest for this little guy still. Am I asking a fair price for the snake? Or did I pay too much to begin with?

Please let me know if interested, I am open to suggestions.

how old is he? how much does he weigh? if you paid $125.00 a few months ago, i'd say you paid too much for a little normal male.

if im correct, a jungle is the same as a normal. and that snake is a normal, well, an underweight normal.

This is from the Graziani's website...

    http://www.grazianireptiles.com/Normal.htm
    Genetics: Wild Type
Normal ball pythons are extremely variable in color and pattern. That is what makes them so appealing. They range from high gold to dull tan markings, jet-black to light brown or burgundy markings. Some are outlined in white, some have connecting dorsal patterns and some have banded markings. That is what normal or “Wild Type” ball pythons look like.
For something to be a mutation it must first be proven genetic and second be extremely different from the norm. There are many normal ball pythons that are sold as genetic mutations. If you are purchasing a ball python that is advertised as a genetic mutation check with a reputable breeder and see if the mutation has been proven. Here is a link to all of the genetic mutations that we here at Graziani Reptiles believe to be proven genetic.

    http://www.grazianireptiles.com/Jungle.htm
    Genetics: Unknown
Jungle ball pythons are bright yellow, black, and white as juveniles. The top half of the iris is light colored. They have a defined light spot on the top of the head. The upper lip is outlined in black and they have an irregular black pattern. Some adult Jungle balls tend to loose the yellow color and brown out. Our line has maintained its yellow color as an adult.

So is a 'Jungle' considered a 'Normal' because it's not genetically proven? Is it genetically proven? I'm a noob to morphs so my apologies. I've just always been under the impression that it was considered a 'morph'.

What he said and what it is are two totally different things.

That snake does not exhibit one single characteristic of a classic jungle ball python.

It does look a whole lot like a bush baby though ;-)

Haha... yep... right you were I guess.

I'm all about learning. Sometimes it's just a challenge to find accurate information (or so it seems) when most of the research you do is via the internet; you can never be too sure about things when you're new to something.
