Thanks!
I am pretty proud of this guy, he was a noodle snake when I got him (what I call under weight or thin snakes). And with TLC and some good feedings, he has gained weight and actually has become even more beautiful than I thought he would. Caleb was kind of a rescue case. The ppl I got him from sold him for very little to me because they wanted to get rid of him. The guy said that Caleb was nippy and very jumpy, I figured it was an age thing. Once we got to their place, I found a beautiful baby in a tank WAY too small, with absolutely no heat source and a filthy nasty cage that looked like it had not been cleaned the whole time they had the snake. The guy told me he bought him at the reptile show in Columbus, for his wife, but she had become scared of him and would not do anything with him, so she told him to sell the snake. They got the snake when it was 6 weeks according to them, at the time I got him, he was just 4 months. After I brought him home to his warm waiting new home, he settled right in and was never nervous or even nippy- in fact he has never been, he is the calmest snake in my collection. I love this species, it is in fact my favorite out of my collection. Caleb will remain an only boa due to the size that he is capable of reaching, I feel one boa in this house is plenty.
