So true, it never gets "old" watching snakes hatch out. And then, for some of us anyway, it gets very hard to part with them.

Thanks for the hopes and prayers! I'm going to need to them! If this job is viable then next week is going to be make or break for me.

Yeah, hatching eggs is super fun!!
    Selling your pets...no...

Hatchling below is also from Clutch #10.
Not sure what morph I'm looking at just yet...

I can confirm though that my VPI Axanthic ratios are following extremes (either 0% or 100%).
    Clutch #12: Pastel/VPI Axanthic/Het Ghost x Mojave/Ghost/Het VPI Axanthic
    (All Axanthics produced)

Re: Snakes and Stones Pr. 2

Me: What do you think the odd snake hatching in the photo from my Clutch #10 is?
ChatGPT: This looks very strongly like a Clown-based ball python, and my best identification from the head alone would be Leopard Clown, with Blade potentially being present as well.
Me: How exactly do you figure?
ChatGPT: The filename of the image you uploaded appears to identify it as “Blade-Leopard-Clown”
    Me: Oh... *Disappointment*

    Photo #587

BP = 66% Het Clown/66% Het Lavender Albino
Stone = Banded Obsidian (Oregon, USA)

Re: Snakes and Stones Pr. 2

So my odd hatchling from Clutch #10 is a bit further out of the egg.
    Clutch #10: Parents: Super Blade/Het Clown/Het Lavender Albino x Leopard/Het Clown

Hrmmm......Wow! I'm still not sure what I'm looking at....so pale...
Uhhhh best guess at the moment...Leopard Blade Hypo?
I will post a photo of the clutch together post-shed.

OK! This one is out of the egg:

Pre-Shed and still looking pale. This one doesn't look like Clown right?...Right?...Right?

Here is a quick pic of the parents:

(The male is one of my largest bps)

Every year I seem to produce a 'one-off'...wait... a one-off?...Last egg in clutch #10 pipping...

    Oh Snap!

Re: Snakes and Stones Pr. 2

The last one out in clutch #10 is an Ivory.

So that means both parents are Het for Yellow Belly?

Seems so weird I keep throwing unexpected Ivories from my matings. I must inherently be selecting holdbacks with the Yellow Belly gene.

It is kind of a pain because Ivory obscures other genetic markers. This will be my first Ivory/Blade/66% Het Clown/50% Het Lavender Albino though...

    Photo #590

BP = 66% Het Clown/'66% Het VPI Axanthic'
Since this Mozambique Agate stone was translucent--I lit it up with a small flashlight underneath the snake.
