    Question basic excel sheet

I was wondering what everyone uses to keep track of the information on their pets,. back in 2013 summer 4thesnake lady and I won a bunch of the cars at the Orlando reptile show, silent auction type. when I was tossed I wanted to ask for some but I was never given the chance to ask or grab any and all communications since with her has not gotten a reply or anything.

so I have office 2012 ( not tat windows wants to support it and let me use the program. I was wondering how hard it is to set excel( I have never used it) page up as a monthly print out for basic stuff like name bin and spots to mark the shed, poop, and such for it with a noes section on back or side.after this pass weekend I now have 10 snakes and once I get them all settle i get pictures up on them all.

    Re: basic excel sheet

    I use cage cards.
Back when I had a handful of snakes I used to plot their growth in Excel spreadsheets/graphs.
Even when I used Excel--I would use the cage cards as a tool to enter the data.
It was too much effort to go back and forth from the computer to the scale-over and over.

With my current collection I only track: Eat or Skip on the cage card: With a check mark or X.
Six X's in a row and I will do a full examination of the snake and setup. Works for me...

I always subscribed to the "K.I.S.S" theory too. (stands for Keep It Simple, Stupid) I used to use cards on each enclosure, but with only a few snakes now, I just make notes on a designated "snake" calendar.

I use Google Sheets, which is very similar to Excel. Here are some examples of the tables that I use:

You'll want to start simply. As you grow more familiar with Excel, you'll be able to create tables and charts that will give you insight into your snakes' care.
