But, in all seriousness, it is fascinating. And I wonder if it's limited to this local. It must be a small cave also. It's also fascinating that snakes are eating bats, because Im sure there's no shortage of rats. I would guess that the only real way for snakes to capture a bat would be to hunt in groups.

Not necessarily. As I understand it, snakes hang out at the mouth of a cave & grab a bat as it flies out for the night. When it's a large bat colony, it's not hard to just grab one going by. Trans Pecos rat snakes are known to do this. (but not known for hunting in a pack, so I'm safe, whew! )
