    Hatchling morphs?

Hey yall, got some hatchlings coming out and noticed their weird pattern down the spine. Mom was normal het albino and dad was a pastel x unknown. Any thoughts? I’ll attach a picture of dad too

    Re: Hatchling morphs?

    Greetings,

    Congrats on the clutch!

You will need to look at all the hatchlings together and then take a guess at what the father is carrying.

Sometimes you can get Het Albinos that are reduced, and sometimes you can get ones that have a very busy pattern....a lot of it depends on the gene interaction of the pairing.

Thank you! Yea this little one was a bit eager to come out as was I to see him. I’ll bring them together once they’re all out. Thanks for the advice!

Oh yea they’re out! First bath today and then we wait for their shed. Most of them have that weird “O” shape along their spine, which I can’t put my finger on what morph it would correlate to.

They look great! Of course I was expecting that they would look a bit different based on the dad though...

Cue Talk Show Opening: 'Ball pythons. Usually calm, coiled, and thermoregulated under pressure. But tonight? One of them is in hot water. A proud male ball python swears he's the father of a brand-new clutch of eggs… but when those little snakes hatched, let’s just say... they didn’t exactly look like dear old dad. And now the question is: did mom sneak off with another male when no one was looking? Maybe a flashy piebald from the next tank over? Or even…a granite clown??' Oooooooooooooo drama.....
