Is sexing bloods as hard as I've heard?

Hi all. I've read and spoken to numerous people over the years and regularly get told that bloods and STPs are difficult to probe due to the presence of glands in the female which often means a female will probe much deeper. I'm very familiar with probing snakes and have done so for many years. Are bloods so difficult or am I safe to assume if I probe male depth I have a male?
Looking for feedback from anyone who's bred and sexed multiple bloods and stp if possible.

It’s essential to ensure you use a probe appropriately sized for the snake. Females usually probe 2-5, males will probe 5+. The overlap from 4-6 can be tricky depending on the size of the snake & the size of the probe, but if you’re confident in your abilities it should be less so. If you go more than 6 easily it’s a male.

Use a helper and either bag or tube the snake.

    Good luck!
