    Following the links, I learn that the Florence, SC "This proposal results from a venomous snake bite from a free-handler (someone who freely handles venomous snakes without proper tools and equipment)." (Presumably that is a bite to a free handler, since snakekeepers of any sort rarely bite, and they never bite venomous snakes. ). Just interesting, if one is the sort of person who thinks a lot about hobby group self-regulation.

    Odd that a snakebite would motivate a ban on penguins, though. Penguin keepers everywhere should ban together and stop this madness.
