Finally switched from glass to PVC

And I'm so excited! We got it set up and assembled, and it's holding humidity great, and the heating unit I ordered with it is perfect for the size.

For comparison, this is the glass tank Jeffrey has very obviously outgrown.

And now she's happily exploring her new 48x24x24 mansion (I haven't wiped down the acrylic after adding the bedding and arranging her furniture, so please forgive the dirty window).

I think she's happy. And it's only been a day, but already I'm thinking the maintenance of the PVC enclosure will be so much easier than glass. No more daily spraying the sides of the tank to keep the humidity up.

I live in the desert so humidity is a constant struggle. But so far, this is holding humidity great. I'm so thrilled with it, and kicking myself for not having switched sooner.

    Looks good!

From the photo it seems that the door hinges folds down on that one? Did you not want sliding doors?

I always enjoy seeing a nice looking cage with realistic look decor.

    Nice job,

    Enjoy!
