Cockroaches

When I was adding water to Ziggy‘s bedding, I noticed something moved after I moved the hideouts out of his terrarium I added the water to his bedding, and then moved the hide out back in to his terrarium and saw a cockroach. I do not know if it was in with Ziggy or outside of the terrarium my question is what is the safest cockroach repellent for Ziggy? I have looked up orange glow furniture polish at least two of the websites that I’ve been to recommend not using that. What are your recommendations for reptile safe cockroach killer

I clean once a week and spray for bugs last month out side

I can't think of anything that would be safe in with or on your snake. Roaches aren't easily killed. I'd rely ONLY on prevention outside the enclosure (which should be sealed tight enough anyway that nothing can enter) & bear in mind that most bug sprays, whether inhaled or absorbed through a snake's skin, will be toxic to a snake, much more so than to larger creatures like us.

Depending on what you're using for a substrate, it's possible you brought one or more roaches home with you in mulch-type products. Also, there are many different KINDS of roaches- it would help to identify what you found.

I think one of the safer things to use around the room would be boric acid powder, which supposedly kills roaches that walk thru it- but leaving powder around your room's perimeter has the drawback of being messy, especially if you have other pets like dogs & cats walking around.

Ok I have some borax powder in the garage floor and made some in a flour and on the garage floor I am keeping mind of any other pets, kids and will be picking them up when they’re at the house

I wouldn’t have thought of that usually I heard mites being in there and I do also have a garden so it could be from either one
