    Switch to Coco Husk?

I currently use paper towels for the bottom of my rack tubs. Have hardy any humidity on the bigger tubs. I was thinking of going with coco husk. Have a few questions

Does the husk attract mites or can possibly have mites in the bag of husk?

Any danger of the snake getting husk caught in their mouth or swallowing pieces whey they are fed? I feed live rats

A good compromise might be a "humid hide" if there's room (& continue w/ paper towels); snakes (especially when doing battle with live) can easily get other stuff in their mouth, which is best avoided. While many will say "it's not a problem, & just like in the wild", when they're our pets, I personally try to minimize risks & problems. I don't think coco husk "attracts mites" but when it sits in a pet store where the reptiles on display have them, some can migrate- you can avoid that by ordering online though- you shouldn't get mites from warehouse products.
