I'll just add that there ARE some domestic rats with similar wild-type fur-I've had some in the past, but they're just not so common in the pet/feeder trade- probably because they do look like wild rats. Unless you're filming a horror movie, pet rats are better off not looking like they just ran in from the alley. Vive la difference!
