    Switching gears.

Kev has had his 3rd meal of the year. Each snake here is fed infrequently, however I have continued to increase prey size as they age.

Last night he took his first jumbo rat. I will not feed the jumbos to the boa. I will to the Bredli and eventually the Brissy. I'll finish the few that I have left here and switch to rabbits. Rabbits are better all around. Quail will always be on the menu.

Here's the boy in low light having a whack at his jumbo. I was surprised how fast he took it down. That's carpets for you.

ALL carpets are more than capable of taking very large meals. The doesn't necessarily mean you should push them. I do believe they will develop and grow differently when have variety of different prey sizes and selections.

The head shape/size changes from what I have observed here.

This summer will be interesting. Once fall comes around, feeding stops until spring for everyone except the Royal.

    WOW,

    Thanks!

That is an I-Phone 14 Pro Max. I shined a little flashlight on the last two pictures.

It was a fun night vision picture session.

I really should use my real camera but the ease of the phone cam is just,,, well,,,, too easy.

The last two were my favorite. They look all junglely…with sunshine barely peeking through.

The latest cage photo of this heavyweight.

Kevin is a September 2017 animal.

He is pretty comparable to the boa constrictor I have here at least when it comes to weight.

My experience has been that the Bredli are quite dense for their length.

The photo was shot in low light. He doesn't look too colorful here. I will have to get him on the deck rail for the next session.

Too big for me to want one for myself, but that won't stop me from admiring yours. I'm looking forward to the deck pictures, assuming the railing's been refinished .

    Just for you LOL!
The rail is stripping away from heat and weather related causes. I may not have to do more than power wash.

Kev is about the same size as the boa constrictor. He could take the top spot although the boa continues to put on noticeable length.

The thickness is evident in this picture.

The next photos show his length.

He sure looks like he'd be fun to handle. Would you describe him as grippy?

Re: Are you ready for kevin?

What a stud! That’s what a Bredli should look like!! That’s what I was expecting when I got mine. He’s a 2015 Bredli that’s half Kevin’s size in girth and about 5.5 feet long. He’s a mouser that’s just started eating large hamsters. I’d be surprised if he weighs 2kg. My jungle, on the other hand, is the same age and is about Kevin’s size.
