    the same issue exists in the arachnid hobby - every so often people will find a new species and swear up and down that they are communal and it’s safe when all known arachnids species are proven cannibals eg: the amount of big name Youtubers with M. balfouri/Socotra Island Blue Baboon communals despite again them being proven cannibals - it seems like people *want* it to be true because of the novelty and disregard any contrary experiences/objective observances
