    Re: BP.net members with/meeting BP.net members

A month or so ago, when I was sick with COVID, etc. Homebody reached out and offered to help with the reptiles. I was really touched, especially since he lives about 2-3 hours away.

I didn't want to get him sick and Katie and I were able to hold down the fort, but I told Homebody he should come visit at some point anyway.

Well, Homebody and his children came to visit yesterday. We had a great time and I think they all enjoyed the reptile crew. We also had lunch and went to Riverside Reptiles, the local reptile zoo here in Enfield, CT.

It was awesome meeting such enthusiastic reptile lovers and fellow BP.net members.

Solana was a big hit (Scaleless corn) as was Jeff (VPI T+ Sunglow Motley Jungle BI). The family had never met a scaleless snake before and it was really cool to show Solana off. Further, they had never held a boa before. I think they were surprised at how chill and inquisitive they were. Behira (female BI) is an impressive size now, although still growing, and was a big hit as well. She was her typical cool self and very relaxed and mellow.

I think Yafe (CP) was also well liked.

Not one snake was in shed, which is unusual, but worked out well.

Further, Frank (BTS) was a big hit with Homebody's daughter especially. She really enjoyed him and it was feeding day (partially planned) for him, so she got to feed him. He happily gobbled down his food for her. I was happy about that. He's gotten less shy, but used to only want to eat in front of me and sometimes Katie.

It was a great day and I was happy to share my love for reptiles. Looking back on this thread, I was also shocked and how much everyone has grown.
