A keeper could aggravate the snake by repeatedly harassing it with food, though, and that wouldn't be good.

To be clear, if my BP refused to eat, I wouldn't offer again until his next scheduled feeding a week or 10 days later. An otherwise healthy BP can skip a meal or two or four. My BP never went on long fasts, but he regularly went on short ones.
