I'd have to guess he's got some kind of skin infection causing those little "blisters" & I'd take him to an experienced herp vet to get it treated, especially since it's spreading so fast.
It's possible (or likely) that he was kept in a dirty enclosure prior to sale, & the stress of shipping to you lowered his immune system's function, causing this infection to show up & take hold. Give him optimal care (temps. etc) so he can recover.
