So this started growing in my BP enclosure
Does anyone know what kind of mushroom this is? It just randomly started growing in my pothos. Guess I'm keeping it too moist. If it's a harmless mushroom, I don't mind keeping it but I just want to make sure it's not going to hurt my snake or isopods.

I don't think it can hurt them either way? (they'd have to eat it?), but I'd probably pull it out, even though it looks kinda cool in there; telling the difference between edible & poisonous mushrooms is difficult- not something I can do, anyway.

Re: So this started growing in my BP enclosure
Probably a member of Lepiota - the isopods should in theory eat it and get rid of it. Keep in mind plucking it just removes the fruiting body - there's still the mycelium, the roots of the fungus in the soil so it'll keep sending up mushrooms. It probably just indicates you have a lot of organic matter in that potting soil, which I guess is good, since it suggests there's no fungicides or dangerous stuff?

It's mostly just cypress mulch so yeah it definitely has a lot of organic matter. If my isopods are just gonna eat it then I don't mind leaving it. I highly doubt it'll mess with my snake since I know he won't eat it. If it was dangerous, I was planning to replant the whole pothos not just pluck the fruiting body.

What isopods do you use? I'd love to know for my future bioactive enclosure!
