    I'm not a plumbing expert, but I think it's possible that the plumbing vent from your bathroom (that goes to the roof) isn't installed correctly, or it's damaged or plugged up. Getting toilet smells from the sink is not normal- it's not supposed to happen. You should get that checked out as it might be unhealthy, besides being "ew!"
