Those gloves look to be too thin for protection, but the seller did say he was prone to confusing fingers for food.

A little dual-duty for the gloves*... & kudos to the seller for giving you straight information on him.

*Yes, while his teeth can penetrate those gloves, they're also not so appetizing as actual warm fingers are- gloves can act as a repellent for many snakes too.
