    Either disinfect or replace easily enough (like my branches/driftwood for climbing), I agree. The trouble with those backgrounds is all the rough surfaces to which feces & pathogens will stick & thrive, be hard to see, & very challenging (time consuming & perhaps impossible) to remove.
