My male is like that, I think even though he's strong enough to be a good climber he just doesn't have good sense around things like "gravity" and "the consequences of his actions" because he regularly just lets go at inopportune moments. I've seen him casually flop off the arm of the couch onto the floor without seeming to register that maybe that's not a smart thing to do
