It's shocking but so many people will sympathize if your dog or cat passes away, but a reptile or a fish? They're like "so what?" You really have to live with these animals to understand how much personality they have. That's part of what makes us a "family".

Yea, sometimes I hate hearing stories about how people hate snakes. You don't have to like them. But they are a necessity to the eco system and alot of people really do view them as family. I am glad I at least have some people who do understand. Also, I have some friends who aren't reptile people but they are sympathetic and don't feel the need to speak about how they don't like them.

    Re: Honey and constipation?

My vet just called. He is equally shocked and wanted to send his condolences. He said other than the fact that she perhaps ruptured something internally, (he asked if there was any sign of blood or discoloration. I didn't see any at all and I checked). He said perhaps being that it was a hard urate plug, maybe the stress of it all was just too much for her little heart. He also asked if she was straining as well. I didn't see it at all. She looked completely normal. Like I said before, no sign of infection, no parasites, nothing. This blows guys.
