    Re: Honey and constipation?

I since took my girl to the vet on Wednesday. The doctor got a pretty good sized urate plug out of her. Asked if I wanted an x-ray done. We went ahead and did that. Turns out in her favor, there was a little urate left deeper in the body, but no gas pockets, no sign of infection, no sign of any injury or anything. Everything looks good besides the remaining urate. I was told to let her rest for a day or two. Then start to swim her everyday. Also told me to wait to offer food til Sunday. First day I 'swam' her she expressed a bit of urate herself. Everyday after that nothing. I did noticed where she was swollen before is back to being swollen, this shows me that the remaining urate did move down on its own. I am hoping she can get the rest out. I offered food yesterday which she refused. So I emailed my vet today (hopefully to get a next step in what he thinks is a good idea). She seems to be moving around in the enclosure much more than she had prior to the vet visit. The only thing I did not take him up on was the B12 shot. The offer expires on Wednesday. So I may be visiting again for the shot. I just wanted to give an update.
