I agree- this snake is thin (underfed) & you've only had him a week so obviously that's not your doing. His dehydration & being underweight may make this a very challenging shed- I hope I'm wrong.Be sure to check for mites ("tiny black specks" on the snake or in the water bowl) as they cause dehydration (from blood loss) & can even kill a snake (from shock & organ failure), & they sure don't help the shed process either.
