The NC proposal is exactly that; knee jerk reaction and extreme. Euthanizing BP's etc. and punishing people for keeping harmless animals is ridiculous at best and shows a total lack of regard for the lives of those animals. It also shows how little the people who propose legislation and pass laws know about much of what they are proposing or voting on. Reptiles are certainly not immune to ignorance and bias.
