Your posts remind me of my own experiences not even a full year ago when my BP came home and I went through very much the same "first snake jitters" as you are (not technically my first but it's been so long he might as well be). But it just means you want what's best for your new friend and that's never a bad thing, and life will mellow out for you both as you get the hang of this human/serpent relationship together. May you have many pleasant years with him.
