I usually feed my snakes late at night and I don’t care where they are in their enclosures when I feed them. Just be careful with front opening enclosures because sometimes they’ll launch themselves out of the enclosure and you’ll have to shove them back in. Sometimes they’re perched, sometimes they’re circling the enclosure floor, and other times they’ll just poke their heads out of their hides and snatch the food.
