Question Am I overfeeding my ball python?

Hi all, my ball python Norman turns a year old in July. I weighed him on 31/05 and he was 295g, I figured he was ready to step up to small weaned rats. Before he was taking rat fluffs/pups no problem. The pet shop supplied me with two that weighed about 33-35g and two that weighed around 42-45g. He’s taken both the smaller rats with no problems. I noticed he looked much chunkier already so I weighed him again yesterday on 11/06 and he weighed in at 360g! (He hasn’t defecated yet though) My only worry is that I’m now overfeeding him and he’ll become obese? I’ve attached some pictures of how he’s looking now for reference, he still seems to have a pronounced ridge but thought outside opinions might help. Can he have the bigger 42-45g rats yet or should I hold off and get something smaller? Did I step him up onto weaners too early? Thanks in advance!

This was just posted in another thread but it's helpful & gets re-shared a lot for that reason. Your snake looks fine to me -but let others weigh in on that, no pun intended. And keep in mind that it's hard to judge his shape when he's coiled up.

Looks ok to me but maybe hold off till he poops. My snakes picky as heck and won't eat if he hasn't gotten to poo.

If I am understanding how you have fed him, it's not a problem, it's just that he hasn't gone to the bathroom yet. I'd have waited till he hit 350 to move to weaned, but if you are having them specifically select smaller weaned, it's completely fine. I'd be feeding every 7 days at this stage.
