Yeah, I've seen that before. That's why I say this snake the OP has needs vet care (asap)- for one thing, that python was anesthetized for the procedure- makes a HUGE difference, & also, a towel is far less abrasive than this object appears to be (just going by the shape) & may fall apart, causing even more trouble.
