Re: What is the best type of bedding is best for a ball python
"Best" is really subjective. The best substrate for you is going to depend a lot on the environment that you live, and what you need it to do. For example, you may live in a super humid area and aspen might work for you, or you might need help boosting humidity, and something like repibark or coconut husk would be better. It really depends on what you need to maintain those parameters for your snake. A little more information about your setup and what your weather is like would help us in making a better suggestion for you.
You could do any of them. I have some on newspaper and others on a mix of First Floor and Reptibark. Just depends on what look I'm going for and what snake I'm dealing with.

Have stuff coming to make a humid hide for them.
Not to beat a dead horse (no horses were harmed in the making of this post), but do you also have regular hides and a separate enclosure for one of them coming? We talked about the issues with you cohabbing on your other thread but the way you worded this kind of sounds like you have no intention of separating them.
So you have two snakes in one enclosure..... With no hides?
You need hides. Cereal boxes would work among many other things you probably have some the house. Food boxes are good though because you're usually producing them fairly quickly and they are glued instead of taped. It's never a good idea to put tape in the enclosure.
