You're already doing what I'd suggest- get him to the vet a.s.a.p. From what I can see, those marks look more like a bite wound from a live rodent, but could be a cage injury as well. I think it took a while for the infection to fester & maybe become more noticeable as they are now, along with the swelling.

If Friday is the soonest your vet can see him, that will have to do, but I don't think there's much you can do until then. He needs to be on antibiotics, most likely- keep us posted, I hope he can make a good recovery, but it may take a while. Your vet should be able to tell you a lot more. Do not 'soak' him in Betadine, but if you want to dab Betadine on those spots with a Q-tip, it wouldn't hurt anything & might help a little- just don't expect it to reach inside where most of the infection is. Either that or use Vetericyn ointment for snakes/reptiles- same way.

I agree w/ jmcrook's post above about getting lab work done to determine which antibiotic will be effective, rather than just taking a guess- the wrong antibiotic can waste time when it's ineffective, & is not without negative side effects, so it's important to "get it right the first time".
