It really depends on your situation. Do you need something that holds a lot of moisture, or do you live somewhere where humidity isn't an issue? I love Reptibark and have been using it for a a little over a month now. I made the swap to it from Forest Floor and personally think Reptibark is easier to work with. Definitely easier to clean in my book. Plus it holds moisture really well so I'm not having to mist enclosures 3-4 times a day.
There's all kinds of choices, like the compressed coco-fiber that you buy in bricks & re-constitute (personally I think it's awfully messy), orchid bark, etc. You'll also see suggestions in this "sticky" (permanent) thread (one of many under "BP husbandry"):
Here are some substrates that can be used in your BP's enclosure: Newspaper - Paper Towel – Aspen - Repti-bark - Cypress Mulch etc. DO NOT cedar bedding as they contain phenols that can be toxic to your snake.
