I don't have any that faded that exact way but I have some that have done something similar where the outer edges of the scales have faded to white as they mature. They are all yellow-belly complex acts-like-super of some form or another for me like puma, superstripe, etc. Perhaps this is something that happens in champagnes? A lot of them have white on their scales like yours, but never having owned one, I don't know if they are born with the scales like that or it develops over time the same way banana black spots do.
