BP has swelling and discoloration near cloaca.
My father has been breeding his ball python. He took him out from breeding this morning, and this evening he noticed swelling near his cloaca. There is discoloration as well.
Exotic vet in town, but while getting appointment, thought I would ask here.

Could be bruising or infection. I'd plan on giving the male the rest of the season off.

I don't take my animals to the vet for every little thing, but that's one I would go to the vet for. Could be minor, but it could be sepsis, and I would want to make absolutely sure it isn't.

And it's a pretty essential area of their body too- glad that a vet visit is in the plan. Hope it's nothing major that just needs a "vacation".
