It’s one of those things really . .
The hairdryer method has to be followed fairly precisely for SOME nervous snakes and I think some people don’t have the patience ( or time ) to stand there .. offering and waiting whilst STILL warm , then hot blasting again and repeating 6 or more times ..

Then even the snakes vary massively.

A few of my Royals over the years simply didn’t even show any interest in mice thawed in water .. yet I’ve had others that would eat them damp and cold in the afternoon !!

I've been lucky with my BP/Royals I suppose. They eat year round, day/night they don't care. They're both pressed against the glass any time I'm defrosting prey in the room, regardless of prey type or time of day.

But I honestly think a large factor in that is that I feed on their schedule and don't offer anything but small rats. I feed conservatively by comparison to many in the hobby. But my animals maintain healthy body structures eating on their schedule, so I stick to it.

Again, that's what works for me. I know keepers more experienced than I am who have PITA BPs.

And I STILL can't get my Borneo STP to eat with any kind of consistency.
