That's pretty much how morphmarket and online sales in general have been working, whoever sends money first gets the snake, regardless of chatting and chatting.
Just a couple weeks ago, I messaged a seller literally saying, "I will purchase this snake. Let me know your paypal and I'll send money over!"
Apparently the 10 minutes it took them to respond to me and for me to send money, someone went on their website (which I didn't even know about) and bought the snake 1 minute before I sent the money. So the snake went to that person. Doesn't matter how many times you say "I'll reserve this snake".
